Tour Details

Explore the first Mayan village on the island of Cozumel on this history-filled experience. Learn about the history of its first settlers, visit the Jade Cenote and enjoy the waters, then enjoy lunch on the beach and take the best short snorkeling tour from the shore. Discover the mystical cenote and cave that was once the site of Mayan religious ceremonies on our Cozumel jungle adventure. Our tour will take you through the lush jungle, where you'll discover the Jade Cavern, also known as "Cenote Chempita." This hidden gem is a stunning natural wonder with jade-colored waters, perfect for swimming and cooling off from the heat. For the more adventurous, you can jump from the top of the cave and dive into the refreshing waters. The history and natural beauty of the Jade Cavern will leave you in awe. Our expert guides will explain the importance of the cenote in Mayan culture and provide information about the surrounding flora and fauna. This jungle adventure, combined with the stunning beauty of Jade Cavern, is an unforgettable experience not to be missed. Experience the cultural splendor of Cozumel at the Pueblo del Cedral, the first town occupied by the Mayans and then by the first settlers after the Spanish conquest. At this point in the tour, your expert guide will tell you about the history of the place, where you can admire Mayan remains and the first church built in the town. Don't miss the opportunity to explore this magical town, a must-see and a testament to the region's rich history. Our expert guides will provide information about the area's flora and fauna, as well as the importance of the Mayan ruins in the town's history. The Santa Cruz de Saban festival is celebrated in this town. Your guide will explain the origins of this festival, which gave rise to the first families who came to hide from the attacks or the war that raged throughout the Yucatan Peninsula. The island of Cozumel was a refuge from these attacks, which is why the town of Cedral was founded. Come and relive this fascinating history.

> First, the guide will inform you about everything related to the tour, and then we will head to the town of El Cedral to visit the cenote and enjoy its calm waters if you wish.
